David "Doc" Robbe graduated from Queens College (CUNY) with a B.A. in Economics, a M.A. in History from Adelphi University and a Law degree at UWLA. He has taught in Watts and South Central Los Angeles and worked with brain-injured and autistic children in the SouthBronx.

For more than 20 years, David has educated and connected with the youth of our community at Boca Raton Community High School. He has taught summer sessions at Atlantic H.S. and ESOL programs at Spanish River H.S. At Nova University, he has been an adjunct professor and at FAU, a guest lecturer and an instructor of FAU interns.

David founded and organized the non-profit, privately financed Boca Alliance for StudentExcellence (B.A.S.E.). The student group has promoted education and values in their community volunteerism and travels:

Oct. 2001 - "Journey of Courage" to two NYC high schools, "Ground Zero" and Fire Station 4 Ladder Company 15.
March 2002 - visited U.S.S. Arizona at Pearl Harbor with W.W. II veterans.
April 2002 -"Spirit of America" invitation to the White House, the Capitol and the Pentagon.

David currently coaches Boca High Girls Soccer, and has coached softball and cross-country. He also has coached in the community SABR program. He was a Dwyer Teacher of the Year finalist. David is a 2002 Disney National Teacher of the Year nominee.

Senator Bill Nelson appointed David when he was Florida Insurance Commissioner to the Florida State Board of Governors JUA (Joint Underwriting Association).

David has been married for more than 30 years to his lovely wife, Marcia. Together they have two daughters, Cara and Jill; and one grandson, Hunter. Marcia is a special-education teacher in Broward County, Florida.
